·         How can professional coaching enhance the effectiveness of leadership development coaching within organizations? In recent years a distinction has often been drawn between management (doing things in the right way) and leadership (doing the right thing). The challenge has been to design and implement leadership development programs that are as effective as good management development programs. Is organizational coaching that accompanies or follows a leadership development program a key to leadership effectiveness? How does organizational coaching complement a leadership development program?  When should the coaching be initiated? How do we know that the organizational coaching initiative is making a difference? 

·         How can leadership development programs enhance the effectiveness of professional coaching within organizations? In recent years, professional coaching has become a widely used tool for increasing organizational effectiveness. In many cases, however, these coaching initiatives are not anchored in or based on a specific model of leadership, nor are these initiatives tied to the specific strategic objectives of the organization in which the coaching is taking place. How can professional coaching be tied to specific models of leadership? Can a coaching initiative be effectively linked with a leadership development program in an organization?

·         What are the unique cultural challenges regarding the nature of leadership and the use of professional coaching in an organizational setting?  While the terms “leadership” and “coaching” are widely used in contemporary organizations, they may mean quite different things depending on the culture in which they are being used. What about the relatively small, but still very influential differences between organizations operating within a specific society (the so-called small “c” in “organizational culture”)? What about the much more profound cultural differences that exist between different societies (the so-called big “C” in “National Culture”)?

Cancellation and Refund Policy for Symposia 

If cancellation notice is received within 30 days or more before the start date, a 15% administrative fee will be held back from registration fee and the balance refunded.

If cancellation notice is received less than 30 days prior to the start date, fees will not be refunded. Substitutions may be permitted at our discretion.
